- : I tried the win95 version and it does not do any more than 115k over a
- : serial link, I might as well use zmodem amd a comms prog. Unless i
- : can use a hex editor and change all the 115200 to 230400, I have not
- : tried that yet.
-
- Serial PC to PC connections can only run at 115k uncompressed, and I don't
- know of any COMMS program which will compress data for a PC to PC
- connection.
-
- For a much faster connection you might want to try a parallel null-modem
- setup. The pin to pin wiring instructions are in the DOS v6 help files
- under INTERLNK/INTERSVR. (i.e. connect the two parallel ports to each other
- - although you will need to make sure that the parallel ports are setup for
- a bi-directional connection, some aren't)
-
- You might want to use INTERLNK and INTERSVR which do most of the hard work
- for you - although if you want to regularly share/exchange files with another
- PC you might as well network them up.
-
- Hope this helps.
